Craps Table

Another popular bet at the craps table is the come bet. This works the same way as the pass-line bet, except that it can be made at any time after a point number has been established. A come bet pays the same as the pass-line bet but you don’t have to have a pass-line bet to play. If you want to play the come bet, you’ll place your chips in the come area of the craps table. The next number thrown becomes your come point, and the dealer then moves your chips to that number on the craps table.

You are now betting that your come point will be rolled again before the seven. If a seven or 11 is rolled as the first throw after you place your come bet, you automatically win. If a 2, 3 or 12 is rolled, this is craps and you would lose.

The next bet to mention on the craps table is the don’t-come bet, the exact opposite of the come bet. The don’t-come bet is again made after a point number has been established. To make this bet, place your chips in the small area on the craps table that’s marked Don’t Come. If the next roll of the dice is a seven or 11, you automatically lose. If it’s a two or three, you automatically win even money. If it’s a 12, it’s a push. If a point number is thrown, your bet then gets moved to the small box above the corresponding number. You are now betting that the seven will show before that number repeats. If the number repeats before the seven shows, you lose your bet. If the seven shows, you win even money.

Build Craps Table

Another bet that is made at the craps table is the odds bet. This is a bet that really has no advantage for the casino. These are additional wagers you can make on whether the shooter will either make or not make the point.

A bet called Taking the Odds is another craps table bet. If a point number has been established, you can take the odds that the point will be made, and they are paid off at true odds. So if the point comes up before the seven, you will be paid even money for your payoff and you’ll be paid three to two for your odds bet. To place a taking the odds bet, you must first have bet on the original throw.
