Bingo Equipment
There are several necessary components to bingo equipment. The first is the bingo cards. Bingo cards are typically printed on paper or cardboard and have the word BINGO across the top of the cards. Under the word BINGO is a grid of five by five squares making up the playing area for bingo. The center square on the bingo card grid is commonly labeled Free or Free Space. This is the space that is automatically considered covered on each player’s bingo card. The other squares on the bingo grid are labeled with numbers. Five random numbers are selected between one and 15 to go under the column for the letter B. Five random numbers are selected between 16 and 30 to go under the column for the letter I. Four random numbers are selected between 31 and 45 to go under the column for the letter N. Five random numbers are selected between 46 and 60 to go under the column for the letter G. And five random numbers are selected between 61 and 75 to in the squares under the letter O. Used Bingo Equipment The next piece of bingo equipment you need for your bingo event is the markers. These are traditionally plastic markers that are used to mark the squares on the bingo grid card as the numbers are called off. Each player will be given 25 markers to use throughout the bingo game. Next, you also need a series of numbered balls as bingo equipment. These balls will have the letters and number to correspond with the numbers on the grid of the card. These balls are typically like ping pong balls and have the letters B or I or N or G or O on them and the numbers one through 75. Bingo Monitor Equipment You also will need a mesh cage with a handle. You can use this to put all 75 of the little ping pong balls into. You then turn the handle on the cage to mix up the balls. Further, you will need a number key and more markers so the number caller can mark the numbers that are called as he calls them. This can help him stay organized and check the boards of the games’ winners. You also will need any prizes that you plan to distribute after the winners shout Bingo. These prizes typically range from cash to electronics to gift certificates at area restaurants.
